The older listing of the activities has been moved here to keep the active listing shorter.

7th October Quite a bit done at the workday. Bollards finished apart from painting, gas pipe trench filled in and covered. Two more bollards installed to protect the gate. Work started on the modifications of the men's changing room.

18th September Bollards to protect tank placed yesterday. Thanks to Tony Carter for his help
Gas tank should be installed this Tuesday
List of tasks for refurbishment will be posted for next Workday 7th October

10th September Trench dug for gas pipe yesterday.
Still other tasks need to be done soon:
  • Steel bollards to safeguard tank (paint, dig holes, concrete in),

  • new chimney pot and cowl to be mounted on clubhouse chimney, Completed P.M.

  • coping stones to be placed on wall.

Another mini workparty will be organised
or would anyone like to take on a task at his or her own timing.

8th September Rather a long summer break though... Planning approval granted for modifications. Concrete pad in place for LPG tank, gate now working. Plans are nearly ready for submission for building control. Need to dig trench and place bollards ready for LPG tank installation (mini-workday 9/9/06). Broadband now connected to site so we should be able to get some web-cameras so that you can see the lake from home!

10th May Wall finished last week (just needs capping) and gate installation started this week. Installers had wrong rack so not able to finish installation of motor. Currently plan to go live with gate in June.

2nd May Wall adjacent to gate start tomorrow. Also chimney stack and roof flashing will receive attention.

Missing entries Ceilings back in ladies changing room and in area in front of bar.
Bar tidied up a lot.
Office/store nearing completion.
New gate ordered
New bench in men's changing room
Planning application submitted for LPG tank and new windows.
Foundations for new gate in place

27th July Under felt layer is now on the roof so mostly watertight. Thanks to Colin (and helpers) for all efforts. First coat of paint on the walls and ceiling in the office with lights and some electrics now operational. Floor covering, trunking round electrics and pipe plus remaining electric services to complete!

21st July All the old flat roof is off and the new boarding is down. Finish off round the edges tomorrow and plan to lay felt on Sunday.

19th July Parapet walls removed around old roof, rotten joist sections removed and new pieces cut ready for install. Materials were later arriving than expected. Job is slipping on its schedule.

18th July Work starts on replacing the flat roof - there may be some disruption to the clubhouse over the next couple of weeks - we will try to minimise this.

The office has been plastered and the parapet walls on the roof have been removed.
The weather forecast was for no rain!!

16th July More work done on the office dry lining completed just needs plaster skim, floor covering and a lick of paint.

27th June Costing for replacing flat roof approved at last general committee meeting just need to plan the dates! Discussions with potential supplier for a new gate are underway - more news when we have it.

25th June Office area floor done on Sat 25th (thanks to all 'volunteers'). Plan to line walls and add ceiling on July 16th.

11th June. Plan to break up remains of floor in 'office', paint new doors and fill around footings ready for new floor and restore external path. (help needed)

7th June. Fixing door in new office and replace rear door of men's changing room.

19th May 25th May. Start work on rebuilding the wall round the Bosun’s Locker
Delayed from the 19th as the builder got his dates wrong.
Wall built, door to be fixed external path and floor to be restored

21st May. Some minor tasks in preparation for the wall building as part of the 'task day'

15th May. Take down some of the ceiling in clubroom and ladies changing room to allow inspection of the flat roof rafters before final planning of the roof replacement.
Completed and we can now see the problems!
