VCC event at Haversham on Saturday 16th January 2010
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
VCC Training Cancelled this Saturday Due to Weather
Hi Guys,
Just been notified by Barrie, after checking the lake at Haversham today they will have to cancel the VCC training as the lake is still frozen. They had hoped it would be ready for Saturday but there is still 30 - 40 mm of ice.
They are looking to re-run this session, probably in February, I keep you informed.

Ian Patience will be the RYA Coach running an additional VCC training session at Haversham on Saturday 16th January, similar to the one run last year.
As with other Champions Club events it is open to all young sailors of all abilities, however parents should be advised to take into account the likely weather conditions on the day to decide if "Junior" has a low or high risk of capsizing. The water is very cold at this time of year. Any sailor taking part should have a drysuit and suitable thermals plus a hat and gloves.
Despite the cold, last years event was very sucessful and enjoyed by all who participated.
The start and finish times are to be confirmed but the provisional start is 10:00 and off the water no later than 16:00. Hot food and drinks will be available. I will update the times as soon as they have been confirmed.

Hi Guys,
The training is scheduled to start at 09:30 on Saturday. Simon and I plan to be there and hope to see some other club juniors. |
